STAGE DOOR YOUTH THEATRE  

Stage Door Youth Theatre is a long established company offering the opportunity to develop all aspects of theatre training in a safe, friendly environment to children and young adults throughout the local area. The company, which is based in Gorleston (Great Yarmouth) originally started out in 1996 and has many years of experience in the Performing Arts sector.

 

The company provides members with the opportunity to participate in 'Stage Door' productions and presentations of Drama and Musical Theatre, at venues in and around the local area. Stage Door aims to bring out the true potential in all members, through drama games, role play and devised theatre practice, and many of our former students work as professionals in Theatre, Film and Television.

 

The fully qualified staff ensure that members have every opportunity to improve their skills in Acting and Musical Theatre, through workshops and by offering one to one private tuition classes, studying the LAMDA  [THE LONDON ACADEMY OF MUSIC & DRAMATIC ART] syllabus. The examinations are designed to give a more in-depth study of the acting process and key practitioners within the Arts. Stage Door has a 100 per cent pass rate. All tutors are fully CRB checked.​

 

With just 3 hard working employees, Stage Door Youth Theatre has a professional team, highly skilled to performance level.

The company is managed by Sheila Pascall who has been involved in the Performing Arts industry for many years. With LAMDA qualifications and a long standing member of the professional actors union EQUITY, she is more than capable to manage the company, having previously worked in drama schools, state schools and currently at St Felix School, Southwold a private boarding school, Sheila can provide training for your children’s personal goals and needs. If you have any specific requirements, please ask.
