WHY DRAMA?

Why Drama?
Drama is thrilling for children – they love creating their own imaginary worlds. But it is so much more. It helps them develop important skills and abilities. These include:


Imagination – bringing ideas to life and adding excitement to their world
Interaction – behaving socially and getting along with others in a group
Communication – learning to speak well and make friends
Language – using  the correct  theatre terminology.
Concentration – Listening skills and taking an idea and working on it
Understanding – imagining situations outside their usual day-to-day experience

Confidence - Building confidence by stimulating the imagination in a happy and creative atmosphere.

EARLY DOORS drama  age 4-6yrs for younger children take them on many exciting adventures, where they can explore the wonderful world of drama and Musical Theatre.
The children learn through Drama Games and Teacher in Role
Most of the ideas for drama are created by our team, and these are designed to stimulate the imagination and help to create happy, confident children.
JUNIOR THEATRE - Drama and Musical Theatre age 7-12 years developing awareness of the space, creating believable characters, Vocal work, movement. Confidence building.

SENIOR THEATRE  - Age 12 - 17years  Developing skills, working on technique, Opportunities for older members to take on production roles and for members to be involved in creating their own props, scenery, costume, hair and make up.

PRVATE TUITION - The LAMDA examination syllabus is offered to any one who wishes to improve on a one to one basis. Acting, Musical Theatre, Verse & Prose, Public Speaking, Mime, Devised Theatre are all the disciplines we offer from Introductory exams for 4years and over, up to PcertLAM  [performance]
